Marcialonga 2014 with Silvio Fauner and Pietro Piller Cottrer

Last sunday was a fantastic day for us. We had the pleasure to be invited to the 41st Marcialonga in "Val di Fassa". It was no ordinary day and it actually started on the saturday evening with a Dinner at the Nele Hotel in Ziano di Fiemme in the company of no less than Pietro Piller Cottrer and Silvio Fauner !! 

Other than being fantastic athletes I can say they demonstrated incredible passion for what they do and also a great attitude towards everyone they met as, this year, the 2 former Olimpic Champions  were participating in the "back-lines" with the rest of the crowd wearing number 6688 and 6689.

Sportful was of course the sponsor of their participation and we thank them above all for the opportunity to let us follow these two amazing personalities in one of the best known events for this Sport. 

Marcialonga goes back a long way when the start of the first edition on the 7th of February 1971 gave way to one of the most revolutionary and traditional cross-country skiing competition that we know today. 

This year some 8000 participat were there and we followed Pietro and Silvio through the 70Km that stretch between "Moena in Val di Fassa" and "Cavalese in Val di Fiemme".
